Retreat to Iona 2017
Iona is often described as one of those "thin places" where the gap between earth and heaven is largely hidden. It's majestic and dramatic coastline as you approach it from the Isle of Mull brings to mind how Columba must have felt in the 6th century when he was looking for a place to establish a religious community according to what is now loosely termed 'the Celtic tradition".
Archdeacon Douglas McKittrick will lead his annual retreat pilgrimage to Iona between 14-18 May 2018. Pilgrims make their own way to Glasgow where the group gathers and after an overnight stay in a hotel the journey to Iona begins by train, coach and two ferries. Three nights in comfortable accommodation with delicious Iona cuisine make this an unforgettable experience.
